đ đ˝ Ho Ho Holiday Cranberry Beverages đ đ˝
Got leftover cranberries from thanksgiving? Or perhaps youâve got a few bags in the freezer all ready for Christmas? đ
Since fresh cranberries are so âon brandâ during the holiday season, I recommend buying a few bags to store in the freezer! Keeping them frozen also means you can use them in replacement of ice if youâd like!! đ§
Cranberries are an amazing source of nutrition, especially in this holiday season where we find ourselves enjoying our delicious treats and hearty foods. They are a great source of antioxidants, and theyâre also loaded with vitamin C, copper, vitamin E, and fiber! đŞ
âď¸ Hereâs TWO recipes you can make with cranberries depending on whether you like sweet, tart, or both!Â
Â
For those that like Sweet Flavors:
- 1/2 cup coconut milk (or a non-dairy substitute)
- 1 cup whole cranberries
- 1 cup vanilla or plain greek yogurtÂ
- 1â2Â tablespoons monk fruit maple syrupÂ
- 1/2 scoop Garden of Life Protein Powder (Vanilla)
- 4-5 ice cubesÂ
- Optional Garnish: Mint Leaves, Cinnamon Powder, Star Anise and/or Walnuts
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and serve immediately. Garnish with Mint leaves and cinnamon as desired.Â
For those that like Tart Flavors:Â
- 1/2 cup waterÂ
- 1 cup whole cranberries
- 2Â oranges, peeled OR 3/4 cup pure orange juiceÂ
- 1Â banana, frozen
- 1â2Â tablespoons monk fruit maple syrupÂ
Blend all ingredients together until smooth, garnish with fresh orange slice and a few cranberries. Serve immediately. Â
